Update on Dad...

I talked to Mom this evening and I needed to update everyone on God's goodness.

They took Dad off the breathing machine yesterday for an hour but felt that he wasn't ready to come off permanently. He wasn't able to talk but was writing notes. His first "words" were "Everything is going to be ok" as quiet tears rolled down his cheeks. If you don't know my Dad, he's very sensitive and has a soft heart.

So, at 9 a.m. this morning, they shut the breathing machine off and were able to remove his breathing tube at 3 p.m. He went through the procedure with no effort whatsoever.

The doctor is encouraging him to get up and walk around and he's very anxious to do so. The nurse had to tell him to sit tight for a couple more hours until she was ready... lol

So... I will be leaving sometime tomorrow to go visit him. If anyone has any messages for him, leave them with me and I'll deliver them for ya!
