October is Pastor Appreciation Month around the world and I want to honor our leadership, but especially our Pastor King and his sweet wife. We are truly blessed to have the leaders that we do.
Pastor King preached yesterday morning about trusting God... with everything. The message preached from Matthew 10:26-31 and Hebrews 13:5-6 was so clear and easily understood. I have learned (most times, the hard way) to put my trust in Him and to cast my cares upon Him... for He cares for me. What more can a person ask for? Our sweet Lord and Master has time to care for each and every one of us as individuals. He cares enough to know the number of hairs on our head... what makes us think He doesn't care about what we go through?
So... having said that, yesterday's message hit home with me. We have been struggling with some family issues for the past few months but when I left the altar yesterday, I knew that God had it under control and I could safely walk away and leave it in His hands! Thank you Jesus!!!
Getting back to our Pastor and Sister King. They are the sweetest, most soft spoken, understanding people I've ever had contact with. They are anchored in the Lord and their life reflects it. I have a little "church signs" desk calendar on my desk in my office and every day I tear off a page to reveal a new sign. Last Wednesday's sign was "A good example has twice the value of good advice." Pastor and Sister King are the epitomy of good example. We can learn from them because their teaching comes straight from the Bible. I never have any doubt about how I should dress, how I should treat people or how I should act. If I ever start to doubt, I just have to watch them. They mean the world to me and I just wanted to let anyone who cares to listen (or read... :)), just how much I love them both.

You got it Sis!! My Mama taught me as long as I can remember...always get and stay behind the man of God and His family!! I think we got the Best of the Best!! They are a wonderful family! and its Awesome! knowing that I can trust my life and my husbands life and our childrens life in their hand to lead us right!! This is an awesome trust and what a responsibility they have to lead! Thank God for them! They do an AMAZING job!

Good to see another good blog - I don't post on them much but sometimes they are fun to read.
My pastor and his family are so special to me. In the 28 years I've lived for God they have always been there for me and my kids. They loved my kids more than their dad - enough to guide them, rebuke them, always prayed with them and for them - but over the years I watched them with their own trials - They stand united, strong, committed, and loyal to their congragation even when life is ripping their hearts out. Through Christ they are amazing people and a beautiful example - I'm convinced with them as leaders - we will make it home.
